Maybe the aeroFit of our summer-weight RS series spoiled us, but we find the bulky, ill-fitting jackets available for winter cycling unacceptable. Realizing our race-fit ambitions required an all-new line of warm and weatherproof softshells, we developed the SPHERE series, which replace our Stratagon line. Various weights of SPHERE panels arrayed throughout the jacket's body create a winter-worthy second skin that responds to exertion and motion by breathing and regulating internal temperature. During easy efforts, the jacket warms; as effort ramps up, so does breathability and ventilation, maintaining a comfortable, dry microclimate, regardless of exertion and the external conditions. The johDah reacts to you like a literal second skin, as though it's an actual part of your body. The aeroFit tailoring does nothing to disabuse you of that impression. SPHERE membranes carry the bulk of duties with waterproof, windproof panels of varying insulation levels and stretch, but a key supporting cast drawing from our OSMOS thermal line and the 3L ZigZaggy Foam ensure breathable warmth in areas that aren't exposed to the elements. Our aeroFit is mapped to WorldTour bodies for the most aerodynamic, aggressive fit we've ever produced—restrictive on foot, but second-skin sleek in the saddle. Through the magic of textile engineering and targeted paneling, we've ensured that shielding against the elements no longer means sloppy tailoring.

BEHIND THE PRODUCT These bib shorts are appropriate for cooler temperatures that don’t yet warrant knee or full-leg coverage. The thermal insulation is reinforced with inclusions (the twinDeck construction on the crotch panel) and omissions (we left out the kraterCooler chamois ventilation in that same panel) designed to preserve core warmth without providing too much coverage. The balance of warmth and breathability recommend these shorts for tempo efforts and base miles in cool temperatures, and the addition of warmers—secured with the shorts’ Ultralight Leg Grippers—lets them follow the mercury still further down the thermometer.

GTO UZ 3/3 Thermo Gloves

A dedicated all-mountain winter riding pant that combines winterproof fabrics, function-driven details, and trail-tuned fit to keep you performing at your optimum in harsh, cold riding conditions. Until now there was little chance of finding an off-road riding pant that promised a warm, dry lower half and promoted a full range of motion during the toughest months of the year. We changed that. We borrowed a few design elements from our Cargo Shorts, like the smooth-wrap waist design for a comfortable fit that's free of clunky fasteners. On this version we made it slightly taller and added a silicone gripper at the rear to keep the pants securely in place. The pants are trim and fitted with a tapered hem—but loose enough to provide a full range of motion. We finished them off with two zippered thigh pockets, abrasion-resistant paneling at the hem, and a water-repellent treatment throughout. Our flexible RX EVO+ makes up the majority of the paneling. Its brushed warp-knit features an asymmetrical stretch, adds high levels of insulation, and offers fleecy comfort against the skin. Added to the saddle area and inner leg panels along the hem, we applied our membrane-backed NEOS MILD, ensuring water, mud, wheel spray, and cold air is properly deflected. The pants' trailFit follows the body's natural motions in, and out, of the saddle —trim, but never restrictive. Their AZPtech (abdomZeroPressure) waist construction, takes that concept even further with a soft, highly elastic material to further improve comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.

The UMA GT Women’s Half Shorts blend several proven textiles and construction techniques to create a truly unique pair of shorts that are as fast as they are comfortable. Like our high-end Laalalai Shorts, they’re cut from Type.439 Diadema, a fabric chosen for its exceptional stretch, high-wicking, and compressive capabilities. Wind-tunnel tested and using our aerodynamic Fenomeno1 design, these are our some of our fastest women’s cycling shorts yet. The precise fit comes down to the waistband design, where we applied our breathable, ultrasoft Aerofit material at the front, using a fold-over construction that comfortably holds the shorts in place across the abdominals.
